Last summer I made my second illustration for the Dutch National Geographic Magazine. The illustration visualised one of the many uses of organic plastic. Dutch readers can find it in the Actuality section of the August issue.
I’m very excited to share with you that the May 2012 issue of National Geographic magazine Belgium/Netherlands included one of my illustrations. The winner of the ‘Emerging Nature Photographer Award 2012′, Joris Van Alphen, delivered a report on one of last years ‘Future For Nature Award’ winners, Barbara Galletti. She is managing a conservation project on blue whales in Chile.
Despite the fact that Joris was able to make a brilliant documentary in Chile, it was still difficult to reflect the size of the animal with a photograph. Hence this illustration, which better portrays the size of the largest animal on the planet.
