Workshop Nature Journaling – Roots Birding festival

Last Saturday I gave two workshops on Nature Journaling at the Roots birding festival organised by Roots Magazine and Staatsbosbeheer. The beautiful museum island at the Biesbosch turned out to be the perfect location with everything at hand. We had great weather, a few nice bird species passing by but above all lots of enthusiastic people. Thank you Swarovski Optics for letting us use the best spotting scopes out there!

Fieldwork @ Doñana National Park

Last week I had an amazing time doing fieldwork in Doñana National Park.

Drawing outdoors and directly from life is always challenging, but very important to do as you learn a lot about your subject’s character and behaviour.
